Is pregnancy a VERY exciting time for women , or can it usually lead to depression/fear/stress?

Q. Im a male . So I have no idea what females experience upon learning about the fact of their pregnancy and then giving birth to a newborn.

A. Depending on the factors of the pregnancy, I'm sure it could be any, or all of those things.

What are some facts about pregnancy that every woman should know?
Q. Some facts that are important to know during the first few weeks of a woman's pregnancy. Don't have to give exactly much information but anything you know that could be help full or anything to be aware of during pregnancy?

A. Your uterus will start to stretch and it can hurt really really bad. Unless you start bleeding or spotting its nothing to worry about. I dreamed up all kinds of things wrong with me because i was in so much pain. Turns out it was perfectly normal.

Get prenatal vitamins asap until you have your first doctors appointment. If you are having trouble taking them due to morning sickness you can take 2 flintstone vitamins. Its about the same. You should also take them before you go to bed.

Stay away from hot tubes, caffeine, sugar, smoking, drinking, litter boxes, and fish.

Congrats and try to enjoy it!

How long can a woman safely be pregnant?
Q. Facts around the pregnancy in question are:

-Last period began somewhere between Feb. 8 and 11, 2009
-Event that led to conception was on Feb. 17, 2009 (very sure of this date)

How long could the mother safely be pregnant - even with the most liberal medical provider (midwife, etc.)? Is there any way possible this pregnancy could last until Dec. 15th, 2009?

A. do you mean december 2010?
Gestation for a human baby can last upto 38-42 weeks. Doctors normally induce after 40 weeks. There is no way this baby is going to stay in the womb until december!! It will be due mid-late november :)

What's the best and easiest way to shave your legs while pregnant?
Q. I know this is an odd question, but though I haven't gained any weight (lost in fact) in my pregnancy, my belly has started getting bigger (I think it's all baby in fact). I have noticed here lately that it is getting very very uncomfortable in the shower or in the tub. I usually shave with one leg above in the sink, but even that is starting to hurt a little because it is putting pressure on my belly. I would ask my hubby, but with the way he shaves and cuts himself, I am afraid that he would do the same. He just gets in too much of a hurry. Do you have any alternatives? Do you think that the shaveless hair remover would be dangerous to use? I do not use it because the fumes they carry and feel like it is better safe than put my baby at risk. I am putting this in the pregnancy section because I am sure most pregnant women have gone through this and they might have a solution.
Just so you know, I am 18 weeks pregnant and I have only just recently started having this problem.

A. I used the 3 min Nair stuff I put it on while conditioning my hair then rinsed it off it worked pretty well.
