Has anyone found a good, reliable and downloadable program that will act as a pregnancy wheel calculator?

Q. I have a iPAQ 4350 with windows OS. I need the calculator to accept all three basic means of calculation( i.e. going from LMP, from first US and from Estimated Gest age)

A. Why don't you program one in Excel?

But check out the link below for a free one for Pocket PCs.

Whats the difference between online conception date calculators and..?
Q. The little wheels doctors have in their offices to figure out conception? I dont see much of a difference other than the fact you can adjust your cycle length with the online calculator, I would think that would make much more of a difference in accuracy? Than the doctors wheels..

A. I beleive its exactly the same.
Maybe off my a day or two.
I used the online calculators at the beginning of my pregnancy just to find my due date before I'd seen a doctor.
After my first doctors appointment my due date was the same

How was your due date calculated?
Q. When i had my first 12 week scan i was told how big the baby looked and then i discussed my due date with my midwife. She said the hospital calculated it at 20th May 2010 (they used the wheel calculator thing) and my midwife counted it on this years actual calender and came up with 22nd May. I picked 22nd May so if i was late might not seem to bad.lol.
How was yours calculated????

A. Hey :]

The wheel calculator is based on the last day of your menstrual period. Or they can date your pregnancy from early ultrasound if you are unsure of your last period date. They are both pretty accurate and the majority of people deliver their baby 2 weeks either way of that day.

My due date was calculated by the wheel calculator & never changed.

A 12 week scan is to check all is well and to double check dates.

Congratulations
&
Good Luck :] x

When did I actually get pregnant? like when did the sperm enter the egg?
Q. What's the time line? I started my last period ob sept. 1st. So they consider that week 1 of my pregnancy. So did I get pregnant before my period or after my last period?

A. You conceive on the day of ovulation (within 24 hours of the egg being released).

Since most women don't know the exact day of conception, they always start with the first day of you last menstruation as day 1 in a pregnancy but women never ovulate before cycle day 9. Ovulation can also occur as late as the 3rd week of a cycle. If you don't know the exact day you ovulated, the best way to determine it is to take the number of days in your cycle (Say your cycles before pregnancy were 30 days total from the first day of a period until the day before a new period started). Now subtract 14 (this represents what is called the luteal phase--time after ovulation until day before new period). Most women have 14 days of a luteal phase (but can be as soon as 10 days & still allow a pregnancy). So if you subtract 30 from 14 you get 16. 16 days into the cycle would have been ovulation and you had sex that lead up to conception 3-5 days before the 16th day.

Most pregnancy calculators, conception calculators, & wheels (what doctors use), use cycle day 14 as the day of ovulation but few women have a 28 day cycle so it's better to use the 14 day luteal phase number since it's more common then ovulating on day 14 especially if your cycles are 30 or more days long or 26 days or shorter.
