What things should I avoid while pregnant?

Q. I am 18 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I took two hpts and both came back positive, now I am going to schedule an appointment to get bloodwork done. But I was just wondering what type of stuff I should avoid during pregnancy. Any information would be most appreciated. =]

A. You should avoid extraneous excersices, seafood, and raw food, you should avoid alcohol, and any other recreational drugs as well as some prescription drugs, they will say in the label if you can or can't take them while pregnant,
you should take prenatal vitamins and got see a doctor. :D

Effect prophylaxis antibiotics have on the contraceptive pill?
Q. I was born with an IgG1 deficiency (low immune system), and as a result need to take prophylaxis antibiotics to prevent getting constant infections. I take one Bactrim (double strength) 800/160mg tablet every 2 or 3 days.
I've been taking the pill for a while, but have recently become sexually active, and was wondering if one tablet every second day is enough to disrupt the pill and cause pregnancy??
Any information on the subject is appreciated :) Thanks.

A. im pretty sure it does. i have known many that have gotten pregnant this way.

What are the causes for certain pregnancy symptoms?
Q. For examples what causes pregnant women to vomit, smell things better, sleep more, and etc. If you know what causes any type of pregnancy symptoms, please give information. Thanks for answers.

A. Besides the fact that hormones cause all kinds of stuff, I knew that smelling things better was a form of protection for your baby when you're pregnant because you become able to know if something's gone bad before a non-pregnant person. I don't have the source for this information,I must have heard it on tv a long time ago, but it definitely makes sense! :-)

When does a smaller woman usually start showing?
Q. I'm doing some research for a story I'm working on, and just wanted to know around what month smaller women start showing? As well, if there is anything else I should keep in mind that might only affect smaller women during their pregnancy? Any other information that pops to mind would be GREAT!

Thanks!

A. If it's the first pregnancy, most women, big or small, usually won't show until their 6th month.
I've known 90lb women to have 10lb babies, vaginally. It really all depends on how far your pelvic bones can separate to allow the head to pass.
