Q. What are the earliest pregnancy signs and what is the earliest they occur. My breasts are a little sore underneath, I have been having weird lower abdminal pains, and my stomach feels hungry a lot but I don't want to eat, I'm also very tired all the time. Any input will help. And if anyone knows the earliest I can take a pregnancy test and which kind Tay would b good too
A. Early on you may feel cramping or pulling in the uterus. These are among the first signs of pregnancy.
Many women say that breast changes are one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. Breast changes will occur to nourish the baby after his birth. Its because they will enlarge as the milk-producing glands increase in size. You may see blue veins in the breasts and/or darkening of the areolas. The rising levels of estrogen and progesterone are responsible for these changes.
In early pregnancy the corpus luteum (the cyst that was formed when the egg popped from the ovary) will produce the tiny amounts of progesterone that will keep the uterine lining from shedding. Several weeks later the placenta will take over the production of progesterone that maintains the pregnancy.
The progesterone levels are ten times higher in a pregnant woman than in a non-pregnant woman. The progesterone is responsible also for preventing miscarriage. Low levels of this hormone can cause miscarriages and later in the pregnancy can cause preterm labor and/or premature birth. Progesterone helps the uterus to not contract and promotes the growth of blood vessels in the walls, which is essential for the babys nourishment.
The key hormone in conception, estrogen, is also produced by the placenta. Estrogen that's responsible for the egg popping out of the ovary, and causing changes in the cervix, vagina, breasts and uterus to help bring about fertilization.
The number one hormone in pregnancy and the one that will give you a positive on a home pregnancy test is hCG. hCG is produced in small amounts by the placenta at first, increasing as the pregnancy progresses. hCG can be detected in both urine and blood. Many times a miscarriage can be diagnosed by seeing the falling hCG numbers in a blood test. This hormones keeps the body from rejecting the growing fetus.
So the earliest signs of pregnancy are a direct result of the hormones estrogen, progesterone and hCG. If the levels of these hormones fluctuate it can cause an array of problems including miscarriage, preterm labor, gestational diabetes and premature birth. The levels rise all through pregnancy then right before birth drastically drop. It's this drop that causes post partum depression, night sweats and mood swings.

How early can pregnancy signs show up?
Q. How early can pregnancy signs show up?
Possibly in a week?
What are some of the pregnancy symptoms? I will vote for best answer

A. Usually it takes about 24 hours for the sperm to even make it to the egg, then fertilize and implantation occurs around 8-14 days after. So, you may have implanted already but if you did, you probably would NOT be showing symptoms within a week
Also, the same hormones released during PMS (estrogen and progesterone) are the same ones released in early pregnancy so...you may notice nothing before finding out. Some women say their boobs hurt more than usual which is probably due to a much higher level of progesterone released...my sister in law went to the store and bought a pregnancy test and tampons-- she said she was either going to get her period or she was pregnant-- turned out to be pregnant. She was almost CERTAIN her period would start though-- sore boobs and menstrual cramping...
Becoming nauseated doesn't usually start until about 5-7 weeks pregnant...same with smell aversions or cravings..

How early can pregnancy symptoms start showing up?
Q. Okay. I had sex 12 days ago. I noticed some spotting yesterday and today my pee is cloudy. I'm wondering if it's all in my head, or could these really be early pregnancy signs??? I can't be starting my period already, because I just got off my period around the time that I had sex.
My friends and family say it's too early to tell, but I just have this feeling that "I KNOW" but I'd like someone else's educated opinion. Thanks

A. Every pregnancy is different.. the blood could have been implantation bleeding and after implantation is when HCG starts increasing. So more symptoms may start showing up if you're pregnant. Go to the doctor in a couple weeks if you are still feeling bad and get a blood test done.
When do you start having pregnancy signs?
Q. Well my period is due May 8th is it to early to be showing any kind of pregnancy signs me and my husband are trying for a baby? So if anyone has ever had early pregnancy signs it would be great to hear. I been going to the bathroom a lot for the last 2 days it seems like am starting to get more tired and not wanting to do much. My last period was April 10-16th i have a normal 28 day cycle. So if you could help out that would be great. Thanks!!!
A. its possibly to early, def to early for a preg test but every woman is dif, for my 1st child I started urinating a lot more way befor I was far enough along to use a preg test. now I am 9 mo preg and with this one I had no idea until I actually missed my period, also if you conceive close enough to your period you can have a period, with my 1st one I was urinating a lot more and having signs of dizziness early in the morning but then I started my period so I blew the urinating and dizziness off, but my period was really irregular compared to usual. it only lasted about 2 days unlike my normal 4 to 5 day cycle, so if you do start this month don't get discouraged right away it could still happen! good luck I hope for the best!
