Q. I had a baby 4 months ago and am unable to lose my last 10 pounds of my 35 pds from pregnancy weight gain. I would like to lose 10 pounds but I know there is a certain amount of weight you have to lose while breastfeeding.
A. Honey you are doing the most important , wonderful thing that you will ever do for your baby! The fact that you have lost all but ten pounds in four months is amazing! You use about 1000 calories every day just making all the milk that your baby drinks in a day! When you wean your baby you will have all the time in the world to worry about losing that little ten pounds that you are worrying about! You really need to concentrate on eating all the things that will help you to produce nutritious milk. As your baby gets older he will need more and more things from your milk. You need to eat a wide variety of good food to provide the necessary things for your baby. Now is certainly NOT the time to think about dieting! Enjoy this time with your baby and you will be SO happy when you look back on it. Remember also that it takes lots of fluid to make milk so always have something to drink in your hand.
This is such a short time in your life. Enjoy it!

What is the least likely place where a tattoo will not stretch or get distorted?
Q. I am planning on getting a very special tattoo for my birthday in memory of a friend and I want it to be in a place where it will not be affected too much by changes that my happen to my body over time ie, pregnancy, weight gain/loss etc...
Any suggestions are appreciated
Thank you
P.S. My ideal place that I would like it to be is just under my rib cage on my side/top of my hip, should it be ok?

A. The things you worry about really don't apply to the foot/ankle or wrist areas. Those places hardly stretch or distort. Where you want to put it would definitely be changed by pregnancy or weight changes.
How will a tattoo on my hip change with pregnancy or weight gain?
Q. I want a shooting star on my hipbone or foot because it means something important to me.....I need a place that i can easily show off to people BUT also hide because there are people in my life who i am very close to that despise tattoos on girls especially I really respect their opinion although i do not agree & i dont want them to know....I need help deciding which spot would be better & how that tattoo could change over time with weight gain or pregnancy...
A. Well i have a tattoo on my hipbone and its quite big. I decided to put it there because i was also afraid that people would judge me. I don't have kids but i have a friend who has some flowers there too and she has 4 kids and her tattoo stretched but it still looks so good. nothing happened to it the 4 pregnancies, so what i am saying is that nothing Will happen to u too. people just say that to scare you.. so don't worry..
From what point should I start calculating my pregnancy weight gain?
Q. I am 28 weeks pregnant and I am supposed to have gained 17-24 pounds by this point but I have only gained 9 pounds. However, I was told by a few people (no one "professional") that I am to calculate my weight gain with the weight I was when I first got pregnant. But, the thing is that in the first 10 weeks I lost 12 pounds from morning sickness... should I calculate that weight I gained back too or should I be worreid about only gaining 9 "real additional pounds"?
A. Calculate is from your orignial pre-pregnancy weight. Don't worry about it... you have a lot of time to catch up. I actually started to lose weight in the last month of pregnancy... and I still had a 10 pound baby.
