A. I am 9 weeks pregnant and i have been off and one spotting since i was 6 weeks pregnant. I had period the first month i was pregnant and it lasted 6 days and it was light and had no clots. It was a reddish brown color. and the spotting that i have been having since 6 weeks is a light brown color. After both transvaginal ultrasound i spotted pink discharge but that is okay. My first spotting lasted 5 days and stopped for 11 days and then started again for 2 days and stopped again. and started a few days later and only lasted an hour. It is common in pregnancys my doctor said. He also said it can last up until your 3-4 months pregnant. He told me not to worry unless it was bright red with clots and i am filling 3-4 pads an hour.
How can you tell the difference between a "pregnancy period" and a normal period?
Q. I have heard that some women can still get their period while they're in their first few months ofpregnancy. How is this possible? I thought having your period was the ultimate sign that you were not pregnant. I've heard that the "pregnancy periods" are shorter and lighter. Are they always shorter and lighter? Are there any other distinctions between them and a regular period? My period was about 15 days late this time, and I had unprotected sex twice a week after I was due for my depo-provera shot. For awhile I was scared I was pregnant, but I got my period yesterday. However, hypothetically, could I still be pregnant if I am getting my period and it seems to be of the same flow (I'm a moderate bleeder, not heavy or light), maybe just a bit lighter, and it started out really light but is a tad heavier now. I have the pain and weakness that I usually get with my period. Also, my breasts feel heavier and more sore. Does this sound like a "pregnancy period" or a regular period?
A. I don't remember all of the details because it was a long time ago, but with both of my children, I got what I thought was a period in the early part of the pregnancy. I think the dates were off enough so that I thought I was pregnant then I got what I thought was a period. The way I remember, it started out like the beginning of a period, sort of spotting, then a little heavier to approach normal, then stopped, so my regular was 5 - 6 days, these were about 2 days. I don't know what the depo-provera shot is, but could that be the cause for your late period? Regardless, I hope you are happy with the outcome, and to put your mind at ease, try a home pregnancy test or see a Doctor. Best of luck!
Will the baby hiccup during pregnancy period ?
Q. During pregnancy period, my baby tend to hiccup in my womb, 2 to 3 times a day. the hiccups sounds as if the heart beats. Is it normal ? Actually, what caused the baby to hiccup ?
A. My baby hiccups atleast once a day... It's when they swallow the amniotic fluid while trying to breath.
what is the normal duration of pregnancy from start to the end?
Q. According to the information I have got the normal duration for pregnancy period is 38 weeks, but if the baby is born during week 35 to week 41 of pregnancy, then will it be a normal childbirth?
A. 38 weeks not counting your 2 weeks of "period" that they count which is confusing as all get out. However a baby becomes "full-term" at 36 weeks and can be born anytime from 36-42 weeks and be considered fullterm, if you go into labor at 36.4 your baby will be full term, you wont be considered preterm labor if you dont make it all the way to 40 weeks, 40 is a guideline, that little one will be here when its done cooking :) Also remember a baby is fully developed at 32 weeks, those extra 4 weeks are to help them put on extra weight and mature their lungs a bit more, but a baby born at 32 weeks on has a very high chance of survival :)
