How did your second pregnancy compare to your first pregnancy?

Q. Just curious:)

My first pregnancy wasn't too bad. My biggest complaint is that I was tired all day, every day. I gained a total of 35 lbs. I didn't have any complications.. I had the epidural & I had a vaginal delivery.

I am now 6 months pregnant.. I look like I did when I was 8 months pregnant w/ my son.. I am gaining weight much quicker. I am waddling like a duck already. I have cramps, aches & back pains. I have 3 months to go.. hopefully the delivery goes smoothly.

A. I totally hear you!!!! I am 34 weeks with a girl and my son is 23 months old. This second pregnancy was so much more difficult. I was sick more at the beginning, I had to go to the emergency room twice with bleeding in my first trimester.... I can't sleep, I developed restless leg syndrome, my back is killing me (I think I will be crippled after this), and yes, I am huge - definetally bigger than I was with my first one (I can't fit in any of my old pregnancy clothes by now)... I am also waddling like a duck and I am terrified of the labor...looking at this pregnancy - what else is going to happen???? (scream....ripping my hair out...lol)

How soon during pregnancy do you start getting yeast infections?
Q. How soon during pregnancy do you start getting yeast infections?
It been 12 days since i had intercourse so its not quite time to test yet but Im scared that i got pregnant. I have no signs but just a feeling. Is there any sign i can look for to detect pregnancy this early. I know a yeast infection is no sign but its just weird that I have one.

A. well u have to wait at least 5 days before you missed period.. some signs are darkening of the nipples, increased urination, sensitive breasts, ect however you dont usually notice any signs at all so early. I felt constipated and had implantation bleeding right away with my son ! A yeast infection can occur at anytime and doesnt ness. have anything to do with pregnancy, so i wouldnt connect the 2 unless you are actively TTC and have an increase in BBT temp or

What is a chemical pregnancy and how does it work?
Q. I took an at home pregnancy test last week and tested positive, but then had my period a few days later. I would have conceived between September 20th and 24th, and my period came 6 days ago. I started reading up on this and found a lot of questions about chemical pregnancies. How do they happen? And how long will the pregnancy hormone stay in my system if the egg has already been flushed out? I can't get into my gyno until next week and I need to know what's going on now.

A. A "chemical pregnancy" is just another term for an early miscarriage. Many times this happens without the woman even knowing she is pregnant. Usually the reason for this is because of abnormalities with the developing fetus or due to the embryo not implanting properly within the womb lining itself.

Your doctor will probably advise you to wait for 2 - 3 months before trying again to conceive as it can take a while for your hormone level to return to its normal level. Usually it takes longer if you miscarry further along. So given the fact that you were only a few weeks along it should only be a week or two.

Try not to worry.... it is perfectly normal and happens more often than a lot of people realise as it often occurs very early on after conception and most people assume it is their period but a little late. I have had this happen myself and have gone on to have a perfectly healthy baby since then so it does not mean that anything is wrong with you.

Hope this helps and good luck =)

when during pregnancy do you start to get heavy white discharge?
Q. I want to know if this sounds like pregnancy, it is a week after ovulation i have heavy white discharge and a little cramping. I've also been a little moody. I don't know if white discharge is a big sign of pregnancy or not.

A. It could be a sign that you are pregnant or just that you are about to start your period, but pregnancy symptoms don't show up until after implantation which usually takes 7 to 10 days so you wouldn't get symptoms till after you miss your period.
