Q. Can Clarithromycin cause a miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy?
A. Clarithromycin is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether clarithromycin will harm an unborn baby. Do not take clarithromycin without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant.
What are the signs/symptoms of the different stages of pregnancy?
Q. Okay, I'm writing another story (need to finish one, I know!) and there's a pregnant girl in it...so, I need the stages of pregnancy.
Ya know...like when your tummy starts to get bigger, when you get cravings, when you have to pee like every 5 minutes, and when you get morning sickness....I would ask my mom but she's not available at the moment, and I need the information to begin writing.

cravings immediately
pee often in 1st and 3rd trimesters
morning sickness at 6 weeks

Are there any foods or activities one should avoid in the early stages of pregnancy?
Q. Will those things affect the baby more in the early or later stages of pregnancy? I don't drink and I'm not pregnant, but let's say a woman drinks alcohol the first month or two of her pregnancy versus the last couple of months of pregnancy. Which would be worse for the baby?
A. DON'T clean the cat's litter box! and after the little one is born, honey is a big no-no until they are at least 1 and a half.drinking is harmful no matter what as is smoking. Alchohol is most harmful when the baby is most dependent on your blood and nutrition, so I'd say the early stages, but i'm no expert.
In early stages of pregnancy and already gaining weight?
Q. I am not sure exactly how far along I am yet, but it's only 4 or 8 weeks. I am disheartened to see on the scales that I am already putting on weight despite eating normally and healthily (loads of fruit) and generally a balanced diet.
I have developed an obsession since finding out that I am pregnant of weighing myself at least 5 times a day. I know this isn't healthy, but I am really feeling down about putting on weight already (about 1.5 kilos)
Did anyone else gain weight in early stages of pregnancy?

A. I would put my money on water retention. I had/have Hyperemesis Gravidarum (currently on medication and it's helping) and I wasn't able to eat for a week. I still gained a few pounds despite not eating. Then, a few days after going on the medication and finally getting rehydrated, I peed A LOT that night (literally going every five minutes for at least twenty seconds) and the next morning we found I had lost six pounds overnight. To a certain extent, water retention is normal in pregnancy. Sounds like that's what you're getting here.
